LOTE News

December 2009

It’s a busy time of year – what with Christmas office parties, frenzied last minute shopping, and trying to get that report off that was due sometime back in June. At LOTE Marketing, we have had our fair share of end-of-year celebrations, and in this edition of our newsletter, we tell you why.

LOTE joins two government panels
LOTE Marketing is delighted to join two federal and state government panels. This means that more government departments can now harness our expertise in developing CALD and Indigenous materials and campaigns. It will also help our existing government clients to access our services more efficiently.

The Federal Government Creative and Design Services Panel has appointed LOTE Marketing to provide CALD strategies and translation services. Centrelink, the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, the Department of Health and Ageing, Medicare Australia and the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet all access suppliers through the panel.

The Victorian State Government Marketing Services Panel has appointed LOTE Marketing as a provider of advertising and communications services to CALD and Indigenous communities on a three year contract.

Alert! Alert!
Emergency Alert. Be warned. Be informed.  This is the catch cry of the State and the Commonwealth Government with its National Emergency Warning System - Emergency Alert (NEWS) campaign, which will provide alerts when emergencies such as bushfires or floods strike.

LOTE Marketing has produced radio announcements, press advertisements and web materials for the campaign, targeting 30 CALD and Indigenous communities throughout Australia. Multilingual television announcements will also screen on SBS TV, Channel 31 and UBI satellite TV.

LOTE Marketing is now working with government on ways to reach CALD communities directly.

Welcome to our new Marketing Manager
Adrienne Meakin is our newest staff member. She has a background in Applied Science (Planning) from RMIT and has travelled and worked extensively overseas. Adrienne is delighted to be back on home soil and starting in this exciting new role. In her short time with us, she has already successfully driven our Victorian State Government Marketing Services Panel tender response.

Write it right
In keeping with requests from our clients, we now provide a professional writing service before commencing your translations. We can assess and re-write your English text if necessary so that it is culturally relevant and clear. Well-written materials ensure that your translation process runs smoothly.

Thank you!
We would like to thank you, our clients, for your ongoing patronage. We wish you a safe and peaceful festive season, and look forward to working together once again in the New Year.
